Dry mouth can raise the risk of gingivitis, tooth decay, thrush, and mouth infection. Dry mouth can make it hard to wear dentures. 

How can dry mouth be treated?

If you think you are having dry mouth due to certain medications, talk to your doctor. The doctor will adjust the dosage accordingly or switch you to a different drug that does not cause dry mouth.
